LIST: Don't Look Now -- President Trump Has a List of 2019's Best Books, Too

There was a lot of attention recently to Barack Obama’s list of his best books of 2019. Now, a writer at Slate has taken the time to read through Donald Trump’s tweets and compile a list of all of the books our current president recommended in 2019. (Okay, it’s not a best books of the year list — but it’s close.)

Obama’s list included some of the most critically acclaimed works of non-fiction and fiction of the past year, including New Yorker writer Casey Cep’s impressive debut Furious Hours: Murder, Fraud, and the Last Trial of Haper Lee and Susan Choi’s National Book Award-winning novel Trust Exercise.

Trump — out of character, we know — recommended a lot of books with titles like Power Grab: The Liberal Scheme to Undermine Trump, the GOP, and Our Republic and The Case for Trump.
