News: New Survey Confirms -- Books Are Not Dead Yet

The Pew Research Center is out with a new survey on book reading in the United States, and the results are not all bad.  Though the number of book readers is down slightly in the past year, more than 7 in 10 American adults have read a book in that time.

And the average American has read 12 books in the last year – a not-too-shabby one book a month.

The best news of all: the biggest age group for book reading was . . . millennials.

Fully 80% of Americans 18-19 had read a book in the past year, ahead of those 30-49 (71%), 50-64 (68%), and 65+ (69).
